ABOUT
At Unorthodox Youth Mentoring (ages 10-19), we provide an unorthodox mentoring approach with a combination of old and new school ideas teaching life and social skills. Our mentoring techniques involves implementing self-confidence, respect, leadership, accountability, teamwork, stress management, and so much more to help the prevention of our youth from entering the Juvenile Justice system and intervention for our youth already involved in the Juvenile Justice system. Some advantages that Unorthodox Youth Mentoring offers are we customize the program for your son or daughter based upon their needs, we personally get to know your son or daughter by learning who they are as a person, their personality, strengths, and weaknesses. We’ll have hands-on approach by completing life and social skills worksheets, doing indoor and outdoor activities. Unorthodox Youth Mentoring believes, "Progression is a process that requires involvement and investing."
Mini Bio
My name is Gary A. Hart
God has created an additional chapter in my life to help develop and enhance today's youth. I'm a retired Army Veteran and currently in law enforcement. As a young man, I didn’t have a present male role model in my life to teach and guide me on what it takes to become a man, provider, protector and survivalist. My neighborhood was surrounded by drugs and violence. I've witnessed the effects of how drugs destroyed individuals and families. Violence was evident and juveniles were consistently in and out of juvenile detention centers. Lastly, playing sports kept a lot of young men out of trouble, however a vast majority of our young men have developed the concept that playing sports is their best and only way to being successful. These are some of my leading factors along with life experiences, that have influenced me to help guide, develop and mentor today’s youth.
